Collaborations
In late Spring, 2008, Elementary staff representatives met to develop collaborative learning experiences for grades 3, 4, and 5, based on the areas that were the most challenging for Orchard Park Students on the NYS exams. The goal of this collaboration was to develop a learning experience for each of the core areas in each of the intermediate grades. Each learning experience was reviewed by a special education teacher and suggestions for adaptation for students with special needs were made. The collaboration included a team of subject specialists and library media specialists with the lesson being adaptable for grades 3-5.
