    Approximately 1 hour per week.

Do I need to sign up for the internship course when I meet with my school counselor about scheduling for next year?

While you don't have to sign up for it, letting your school counselor know you are applying to the internship program will be helpful to him/her in the scheduling process. If you are accepted into the internship program, it will automatically be added to your schedule.

Does the internship program take up a period in my schedule?

No. The internship program will be scheduled as a "Period 9" class and will not take up a period in your schedule.

HOWEVER, it is advised (and depending on the internship site, sometimes required) that you have 8th period open for ease of scheduling internship site hours.

NOTE: If interested in doing an internship in the field of education, you must be able to get 7th and 8th periods open at least every other day.

Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the internship site.

How will I be placed for the internship?
