Meal Distribution During Remote Learning
Our District will begin full remote learning on Monday, November 23rd. The District is able to continue to provide free breakfasts and lunches for all students, ages 18 and under, through the 2020-2021 school year. We are able to do this, even while students are learning remotely, because of the USDA extension. For this school year only, there are no income restrictions on eligibility for a free daily breakfast and lunch. Below the District has outlined its meal distribution plan, which is in effect while our district is fully remote.
All resident children, ages 0 to 18 years old are eligible!!
For the week of Monday November 23rd only: Each family will receive 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches for each child for the week. We will be offering families the opportunity to pick up meals at two of our buildings according to the following schedule:
DATES: Monday, November 23rd (OR) Tuesday, November 24th
TIMES: Between 10:30 AM and Noon (OR) 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM
LOCATIONS: High School (Baker Road) Entrance (OR) Windom Elementary Front Loop
(Please look for the school bus parked in the lot)
For the week of Monday November 30th (and as long as we are remote): We will be setting up home delivery of meals 2 days per week for families interested in receiving them (as long as the weather allows). The first delivery date will be Tuesday December 1st. A breakfast and lunch will be provided for all 7 days of the week to each child. Home delivery of meals will be scheduled as follows:

USDA Extends Free Breakfast and Lunch for ALL Students Through 2020-2021 School Year
This change will allow all students in the Orchard Park Central School District to receive breakfast and lunch, regardless of family income, through the 2020-2021 school year. A parent/guardian will only need to add funds to their child’s MySchoolBucks account if they want their child to purchase a second meal or a la carte items. Even though at this time breakfast and lunch is provided at no cost, if a parent/guardian believes they qualify for the free and reduced lunch program, we encourage you to fill out the application below so that the program will continue for those students once the USDA extension ends in December.
School Breakfast/Lunch Menu Information 2020-21 - Free for ALL Students Through 2020-2021 School Year
The District is encouraging a cashless meal purchase for a la carte items or if your child wishes to purchase a second meal which are not included in the Free Breakfast and Lunch for ALL Students program. The cashless system will help to ensure social distancing when purchasing a meal. Parents have the option of preloading money onto their child's MySchoolBucks account online. Parents can preload the funds with a credit card or send a check in with their child. Please make checks payable to the Orchard Park Central School District.
Please note the new breakfast and lunch prices for the 2020-21 school year
- Breakfast: $2.00
- Lunch: $2.90 Elementary Schools
- Lunch: $3.00 Middle School and High School.
- A second meal will now be purchased at a la cart prices which will be posted in the cafeteria.
A la carte items will be available only for those children with money in their MySchoolBucks account.
Children from households that meet federal income guidelines are eligible for free meals or reduced meals. Call Jody Schwarz at 209-6244 for further information. Applications are available in each school's cafeteria.
Students purchasing meals must take one Fruit or Vegetable and two other items to complete their meal and to fulfill the "Offer-vs-Serve" provision.
Vegetarian options available. Have your child request that the meat be omitted from their salad that is offered daily. Vegetarian entrees are also available throughout the month.
Menu is subject to change.
