The Academy of Finance application process for the 2024-2025 IS CLOSED.

Check back in January 2025 for application details for the 2025-2026 school year.

Follow these directions to apply:

STEP 1: Read Directions. Read all the information below before beginning your application. It is of the utmost importance that you follow all directions!

STEP 2: Complete the Application. Interested students should carefully complete the online application, making sure to accurately fill in all the requested information. Note that there is an essay requirement; the essay topic is “Tell us why you are interested in being selected for this program.” It is recommended that you complete the essay in a separate Google Doc prior to filling out any other part of the application so that it is ready to upload at the time you complete the application. You must be logged into your school Google account to complete the application; for this reason, it is recommended that you complete your application on your school-issued Chromebook.

STEP 3: Get Teacher Recommendations. You must ask your homeroom teacher and two additional teachers to complete an online recommendation form for you. To do this, follow the directions in the Teacher Recommendations file.

IMPORTANT NOTE! All students applying to the AOF should request the following two (2) courses be added to their 9th grade schedule: Leadership Skills & Development (½ year course) & iComp I (½ year course).

Submit all applications and recommendations by March 1, 2024.

FOR TEACHERS MAKING RECOMMENDATIONS:

If a student has asked you to complete a recommendation for him/her, please use the appropriate form below to do so. You must complete a separate form for each student. If you have any questions, please contact Kristen Casto at kcasto@opschools.org. Thank you!
