Precepts
-
Precept = Rules about really important things!
"Precepts or maxims are of great weight; and a few useful ones at hand do more toward a happy life than whole volumes that we know not where to find." - Seneca
pre - cept ('pre, sept/)
a general rule intended to regulate behavior or thought.
Each month you will be writing an essay on a different precept, and what it means to you.
Each essay should be typed, double spaced, and at least 10 sentences in length, but no longer than one page.
You should use details, examples, quotes, etc. to support your statements. This could include, but is not limited to, how it relates to something that we are talking about in class, something that has happened to you, etc.
Your sentences should be fifth grade or higher in length and complexity.
- You should check your work for grammar and spelling errors.
