Post Prom Update

    Class of 2021 and Parents:

    Below are some important updates about the Post Prom Party. Please read this in full!

    Communication

    The Remind group is maxed out so Post Prom information will be available on the HS PTO FB page, the OP Senior Parent FB page, and on the Post Prom page of the HS Website (under the Parent Resources tab along the top).

    Food Donations

    If you volunteered to donate chips, candy, or cookies, please drop them off at the Community Center between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 19th. The building will be locked and we will be setting up OUTSIDE in the back of the Community Center. Please drive towards the back along the right side of the building as you are facing it - you will see tables set up where you can put your donation.

    Senior Posters

    Please drop off senior posters between 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 19th. The building will be locked and we will be setting up OUTSIDE in the back of the Community Center. Please drive towards the back along the right side of the building as you are facing it - you will see tables set up where you can put your poster. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO WRITE YOUR STUDENT’S NAME ON THE BACK AND REMIND THEM TO BRING IT HOME AFTER THE EVENT.

    Ticket Payments

    If you have not yet submitted payment for your Post Prom ticket, please do so ASAP. Cash or check (payable to OPHS PTO) accepted. Payment may be brought or mailed to the HS Main Office in an envelope addressed to Tracy Brege, OPHS PTO Post Prom (4040 Baker Road, OP, NY 14127).

    Weather

    We are set to go forward rain or shine! A map of the activities presuming we have a beautiful sunny day is attached. The QR code to access the map is:

    A QR code to a “rain” map will be provided to students on the day of the event if we must move activities inside.

    COVID Rules: Vendors

    Vendors: All vendors will adhere to the COVID protocols in effect for their respective industries, including wiping down equipment, etc. We have been informed that all vendor employees present during the event have been vaccinated.

    COVID Rules: Students

    BRING A MASK!!! The Town of OP requires masks to be worn inside and this will be enforced at the Post Prom Party. Students do not need to wear masks outside.

    Food

    Students are permitted to have 2 slices of pizza, 1 ice cream and 2 snacks (chips/candy) at the party. Unlimited water will be available.

    Volunteers

    Thank you to everyone who volunteered to help set up and/or chaperone at the Post Prom Party! We greatly appreciate your help and time.

    Set up volunteers can arrive anytime after 9 a.m. We will be there until we are finished setting up.

    Party chaperone volunteers will receive an email with directions and additional information. If you volunteered to chaperone and do not receive the email, please contact me at natalielesh2.0@gmail.com.

    Early Check In

    In order to expedite the check-in process, students may begin checking in at 2:45 p.m. They will move into a “holding area” and will be permitted to enter the party at 3 p.m. Please encourage your senior to check in early – it is a time-consuming process and we want to get students into the party as quickly as possible!

    Dress Code

    The school Dress Code applies to this event so please dress accordingly. Sneakers and/or socks are required to participate in some of the activities. Alternate footwear may NOT be checked at the door.

    Prizes

    All students who purchased a ticket are eligible to win the grand prize of $2021. Only students in attendance at the party are eligible to win the other cash prizes and the non-cash prizes. A list of non-cash prizes will be sent out prior to Saturday. You have until 5:45 p.m. to put your raffle tickets into the baskets of those you wish to win. All names are in for the cash prize raffle.

    Post Prom Prize Information

    Misc

    Students are required to present their school ID to check in.

    Students may not return to the party once the leave.

    School rules apply to this event and will be enforced.

    Students may not bring cinch sacks, backpacks, water bottles, etc. into the event. If a student must bring a small purse/bag with them, it can be checked at the door. All purses/bags are subject to search. There will NOT be a coat check for phones, shoes, or jackets.
