Dr. Alexis Langheier Named Orchard Park High School Principal

Dr. Alexis Langheier

The Orchard Park Central School District Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Alexis R. Langheier as the new Principal of Orchard Park High School, effective August 6, 2026. Following an extensive and rigorous search process involving multiple rounds of stakeholder panels, Dr. Langheier emerged as the ideal leader to guide the high school into its next chapter of academic excellence.

Dr. Langheier comes to Orchard Park with a wealth of high school administrative experience, most recently serving as an Assistant Principal at Iroquois High School. A highly decorated school leader, she was named the 2023 SAANYS Region 12 High School Assistant Principal of the Year. She holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from the University at Buffalo, along with New York State certifications as both a School District Leader and a School Building Leader.

Dr. Langheier has spent the last six years as a high school assistant principal, working directly with master scheduling, curriculum alignment, and multi-disciplinary data teams. Her background as a certified literacy specialist, including an Orton-Gillingham Structured Literacy certification, gives her a practical understanding of how to support teachers and improve classroom instruction. Additionally, she brings specialized training in school safety, crisis response, and student support systems.

"We are incredibly excited to welcome Dr. Alexis Langheier to Orchard Park," said Superintendent David Lilleck. "Throughout the interview process, Alexis stood out for her clarity, instructional background, and straightforward approach to relationship-building. She is a systems-minded leader who will bring the consistency, follow-through, and day-to-day operational structure needed to keep moving our work forward. She is an excellent fit for our students, staff, and community."

Dr. Langheier will begin her role in August.  She looks forward to joining the faculty and staff at Orchard Park High School to continue the district’s work to maximize the potential of every student every day.
