Ellicott STEAM Night
Ellicott Elementary recently hosted a STEAM Night, bringing together students, families, and community partners for an evening of hands-on learning and creativity. With more than 50 students showcasing their STEAM projects, ranging from science-inspired artwork to technology-driven designs, the event highlighted our young learners' incredible talent and innovation.
More than 20 local organizations joined the effort, sharing knowledge and interactive experiences with attendees. A special thank you to MOOG, whose generous sponsorship helped make the night possible. The Orchard Park Volunteer Fire Department provided an exciting hands-on demonstration, setting up a full fire truck to show how engines pump water.
Families enjoyed a variety of engaging activities, including building birdhouses with help from high school students, flying drones with the OP Fire and EMA teams, planting vegetable plants to take home thanks to donated supplies from LOWES, exploring the stars indoors with Mrs. Vivian in the Star Lab, and experiencing dozens of student-led exhibits showcasing science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
The evening was a true community collaboration, fostering excitement for STEAM learning in a fun and interactive way. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event an inspiring success!
