Orchard Park Central School District Names Windom Elementary Principal

On June 10, 2025, Orchard Park Central School District Superintendent David Lilleck recommended to the Board of Education that Theresa Glowacki be appointed as the principal of Windom Elementary. The Board of Education unanimously approved the recommendation, and Mrs. Glowacki is set to assume the Windom principalship on July 1, 2025.

Following a thorough interview process involving parents, community members, and staff, Mrs. Glowacki emerged as the resounding choice to assume the position as Windom Elementary’s principal after Mr. Phil Johnson accepted the position of Superintendent of Lake Shore CSD. According to Superintendent Lilleck, “Theresa Glowacki is exactly the right person to lead Windom forward. She has already made a huge impact on Windom in her three years as Assistant Principal, and she understands what makes this school so special. We’re excited to see her step into this role, as I know the Windom community is as well.”

Mrs. Glowacki has been an integral part of Windom Elementary since 2022, serving as the assistant principal. Before stepping into this leadership role, she taught Special Education in Akron Central Schools from 2013 to 2018 and in Hamburg Central Schools from 2018 to 2022.  During this time, Theresa also co-founded the Buffalo Autism Project, a nonprofit organization committed to fostering hope, awareness, and acceptance for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder through community outreach, advocacy, and educational initiatives.

As she steps into the principalship, Mrs. Glowacki remains deeply committed to advocating for the students, staff, and families of Windom Elementary. When asked about her new role, Mrs. Glowacki said,  “I am deeply honored to step into the role of Principal at Windom Elementary. Serving this incredible community of students, families, and dedicated educators has been a privilege, and I look forward to continuing our shared commitment to growth, kindness, and excellence in all we do.”  Her leadership style fosters a supportive, inclusive, and academically enriching environment where every child can thrive. With her proven leadership, collaborative spirit, and passion for education, Mrs. Glowacki is poised to lead Windom Elementary with integrity, compassion, and a steadfast focus on student success.
