11-16 COVID-19 Update from Superintendent McGarrity

November 16, 2020

Dear Orchard Park Families;

Today we were notified of one new COVID-19 case at the Orchard Park High School.  The individual was last present on campus Thursday, November 5, 2020.

The affected individual has been isolated and the Erie County Department of Health is identifying and contacting those individuals who are close contacts under the DOH guidance.  As I have written before we are unable to provide more information due to FERPA and HIPAA.

Please continue to monitor your child for symptoms and have him/her stay home if they are sick. In addition, please contact your child’s healthcare provider if they develop symptoms or if you have any additional questions or concerns. More information on the symptoms of COVID-19 can be found at https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/home or on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV/index.html.

As always, thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Matthew McGarrity
Superintendent of Schools
