"Screenagers" Community Screening Event and Panel Discussion on Monday, March 25th.

OPCSD will present a free community screening of Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age on Monday, March 25th, 2019 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the OPHS Auditorium.


This award-winning film:

  • Probes into the vulnerable corners of family life;
  • Depicts the messy struggles over social media,
    video games, and academics;
  • Explores a child’s risk of addiction;
  • Offers solutions on how we can help our kids navigate the digital world.

Following the screening there will be a panel discussion with local experts who will share their unique perspectives on technology, screen time, and their effects on youth. Panelists include Licensed Psychologist Dr. Nichol Eaton of FMS Psychology Group; Dr. Colleen Mattimore, M.D. FAAP and Dr. Amanda Wolfley, M.D. FAAP of Western New York Pediatrics; and Officers Kristen Mazur and Brian Luchowski of the Orchard Park Police Department. They will kick off a question and answer segment and offer insight on how we can help kids navigate the digital world while maintaining healthy relationships with peers and family.
