The Orchard Park Central School District held a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 to commemorate the start of the work on the Investing in our Future facilities project. The ceremony was attended by school district officials, board members and associates from both Turner Construction Company and Gordon Jones Associates.
The educational facilities project was overwhelmingly approved by residents at a public vote on May 17, 2022. The project, which is now underway, is anticipated to conclude in the fall of 2026. This summer you can anticipate work beginning on Phase 1 of the project which includes the OPHS turf replacement, OPHS bleachers/press box and lighting replacement, and the replacement of the OPHS fieldhouse and concessions.
School officials are pleased that the project was approved by voters and the New York State Education Department and are looking forward to the improvements that will be addressed in this project that will benefit both students and community members who use the districts’ facilities.
